Wearing the body skins, option 1:
- Wear the base skin version first. Ensure you’re in BOM mode on your mesh body and head.
- Add a compatible tattoo layer FACE skin.
- Add any additional chest options or other extras on tattoo layer.
Wearing the body skins, option 2:
This is the recommendation for wearing the base skin with other brand faces.
- Wear any skin. Ensure you’re in BOM mode on your mesh body and head.
- Add your tattoo layer FACE skin.
- Add the neck blend tattoo layer.
- Add the tattoo layer BODY skin.
- Add any additional chest options or other extras on tattoo layer.
Asymmetry support:
At time of writing, only Reborn supports separate left arm and foot.
- Wear the
universal BODY skin on top of any existing skin. - Add your tattoo (or universal) layer FACE skin.
- Add the neck blend universal layer if using another brand’s face.
- Add any additional chest options or other extras on universal layer.
The order in which you add bakes-on-mesh layers matters.
Using the materials appliers:
If you are having issues seeing materials on your mesh body, ensure that Advanced Lighting is enabled in your Graphic Preferences.
- Attach the material applier for your mesh body.
- Click the option for your materials.
The Create-Your-Own kit is intended as a starter point for creating your own unique (face) skins for the Second Life virtual world, that are seamless with the ALASKAMETRO<3 base body skins.
This kit is included with every base body skin purchase, and includes base shading for the skull, neck, and Lelutka ears in all 12 ALASKAMETRO<3 skin tones. Instructions for using the textures are also included.
You may create faces for personal use, or resell your creations in the Second Life metaverse.
